Throw away your books, magazines, newspapers--Fujitsu has the electronic reading device that will make paper obsolete! Or not.
The company's new FLEPia tablets, aside from sporting a name that sounds like the long-rumored fifth Banana Split, sound rather like other recent attempts atkillingthe ink-and-paper model. The device uses a new sort of display that only draws an image when it changes, thus saving energy. Fujitsu says the standard battery is good for 50 hours of viewing between charges.
Aside from that, there's the usual stripped-down OS, WiFi support, SD slot, etc. Plus price tags of around $1,250 and $2,100, depending on screen size.
Think I'll hang on to my paperback copy of "The Golden Bough" for now.
