It's not quite the turnaround some had hoped for, but HP has decided to act a wee bit less extortionately when it comes to printer ink refills.
The printer maker has announced a reorganization of its ink business, with inkjet cartridges grouped among three lines. "Standard" cartridges, marked with a blue label, are the expensive ink-spitters you've come to know and tolerate. Red "specialty" tags will be affixed to cartridges designed for making high-quality photo prints and other uses.
Finally, green-labeled "value" cartridges will be crammed with more ink. They'll cost twice as much as the $15 "standard' cartridge but be able to print three times as many pages.
