Iconix's HD-RH1 is claimed to be the smallest professional-standard high definition video camera. Fitting cleanly into a 2 inch cube and weighing 2.5 ounces, it was launched last december, and has since sold 200, which is, apparently, something of a success. Come April, and we have a specification refresh, with newer models offering fiber-optic output and a remote control panel that allows up to six camerias to be plexed.
These are clearly serious business, saving in any popular frame rate, file format or resolution. Anyone interested in stealthy surveillance will love it. As for me, I love the way they look like scary little grenades when lined up in an egg carton.
