Kodak has announced a new photo backup service to make sure that prized shot of Aunt Minnie doesn't vanish during the next flood or OS upgrade.
The Kodak Picture Protection plan will be offered through the company's Gallery photo-sharing site and will be included in the $25-a-year subscription cost for "premier" members.
The plan ensures that Kodak will save copies of all photos stored on the site and send you an archive CD of everything upon request. If prints or other physical objects orderd through Gallery are destroyed, you get a credit of up to $500 to replace them.
