So as you good folks may have noticed, I left you kind of early yesterday. If you'll take a look at the map over on the right here, you'll see why: I was but one of more than 206,000 homes that decided to go retro and shun electric for the better part of the day. Originally we were told that power wouldn't be restored until tomorrow, so I ran out and picked up some bags of ice to try and save what was in the fridge, and some instant grills (just add fire!) to cook up what couldn't be saved. The power came back on several hours later, so I'll be having a barbeque and making frozen margaritas instead. You are all invited.
Let's see what-all I missed whilst I was waiting for the lights to come back on. We seem to once again be a bit obsessed with birds, what with this and this.Ahhh...I see Chris's voodoo finally did its job, and there was much rejoicing. Excellent! And finally, with this news, I let the weeping begin.
