MSNBC: Don't Blame <cite>Counter-Strike</cite> For Virginia Tech

After Chris Matthews took Jack Thompson to task for his irresponsible mud-slinging over Virginia Tech, MSNBC continues to put the hurt on pundits who attempt to smear gamers:

Meanwhile, authorities released a search warrant listing the items found in Cho's dorm room. Not a single video game, console or gaming gadget was on the list, though a computer was confiscated. And in an interview with Chris Matthews of "Hardball,"
Cho's university suite-mate said he had never seen Cho play video games.

None of this seems to matter to Thompson.

"This is not rocket science. When a kid who has never killed anyone in his life goes on a rampage and looks like the Terminator, he's a video gamer," he told MSNBC.com.

You're right, Jack. It's not rocket science. Rocket science actually works, unlike your pseudoscientific garbage.

Some people believe that the best way to deal with Jack Thompson is to never give him attention. I absolutely disagree. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. The way to most thoroughly discredit Thompson is to let him talk as much as he wants and give him every venue in which to do it, because he is his own worst enemy.
