NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is going to try to recreate the feel of the original NiGHTS without all the learning curve for the control scheme, or so says Takeshi Iizuka, and since he's the one making it, I'm guessing he knows what he's talking about.
Iizuka figures that fans of NiGHTS have been waiting 11 years for a sequel, so straying from the core gameplay would be akin to poking them in eye, thus we'll be soaring and flying like we did in our younger, Saturn-owning days. This time, however, it'll be a little easier to control, with players being able to choose from one of two controller figurations, either with Nunchuk or without. Says Iizuka:
And remember Christmas NiGHTS? It was a cute little paste job that Sega put out that decorated the land of NiGHTS in Christmas trees and presents;
Sega has a history of integrating holiday and time-based material into its games, and given the Wii's online abilities, Journey of Dreams should (fingers crossed) prove no different. So hurry up and make the game already, pleeeaaassseeeeee!
