Nintendo Promises Increased Wii Production

A Nintedo rep told GamesIndustry that the company pinky-swears to increase Wii production, putting out 14 million units to distributors worldwide this fiscal year:

We have put solid production plans in place to ensure a steady flow of product through 2007. We are constantly replenishing Wii supplies however with such high demand, stock is still flying off shelves so consumers should continue to be in touch with their local retailers to confirm when new stock is arriving.

Ok, out of simple curiosity, I want to do a quick poll. We get a fairly decent cross-section of humanity here at Game|Life, at least geographically speaking. So, quick show of hands: who out there wants a Wii and has tried to get one, but hasn't been able to due to shortages?
