Satellite broadcasting site DBSTalk.com has the first full-fledged review of Sat-Go, DirecTV's upcoming portable idiot box, and it looks like a doozy.

Stashed in traveling position, the unit looks like a power drill, butane grill or any other mid-priced novelty in a dull plastic case. Unfold the Sat-Go into its tent-like operating formation, however, and you'll find a 17-inch LCD screen, a satellite dish embedded into the lid, a small remote control that stows away and three power options, including a rechargeable battery that will give you about an hour of video delight.

Units are set to go on sale next month, price and subscription fees TBA.
The Sat-Go weighs in at a hefty 26 pounds, so you'll want to sneak it into somebody elses pack during your next backpacking trip.
