Not surprisingly, the server for Virginia Tech's newspaper, the Collegiate Times, is down, so news reports are being posted at the parent company's website. The latest update, according to a blog post written by the newspaper's managing editor, is that the Norris Hall shooter has been identified:
*Virginia Tech police chief Wendell Flinchum said that there has been a preliminary identification of the shooter in the incident that took place in Norris Hall but would not definitively state whether the shooter was the same as the one that left two dead in West Ambler Johnston Hall. Flinchum back-tracked from his statement that the description Ambler Johnson Hall shooter did not match the description of the Norris Hall shooter, leaving it unclear as to whether police were actively pursuing a second suspect in the case. *
It's not clear from this whether the police suspect a second shooter, although the blog says authorities are looking for another "person of interest" in connection with the shootings.

Centreville, Virginia, according to university police. Cho Seung-Hui,
23, came to the United States from South Korea as a child. He was majoring in English at the school. He had few friends, and authorities on Tuesday were struggling to learn more about him or why he went on a killing rampage.
