In a recent interview, Akira Yamaoka revealed a few--and I do mean few--details about the next entry in one of my favorite game series, Silent Hill. Apparently, SH5 is going to be reminiscent of what I still insist is the scariest entry in the franchise, Silent Hill 2, at least "in terms of the way the player is directed and the characters' behaviour." Whatever that means.
The PlayStation is the traditional home for the Silent Hill games, but Yamaoka hints that Konami might be pondering a cross-platform release:
I just need to know if it's going to have Pyramid Head, scary nurses, and/or those creepy guys in the bunny suits. While we're on the subject of SH, though, what did you guys think of the movie? I thought it got the visuals down pretty much perfectly, but the writing was so god-awful that it made me want to hide in the closet. Plus, the whole sub-plot with Sean Bean was fairly pointless, don't you think?
