Top executives at role-playing game publisher Square Enix jumped off their horses, walked around the carousel, and got back onto different horses today. To wit:
- President and COO of the US branch Daishiro Okada will assume the role of vice chairman;
- Head of the Square Enix group Yoichi Wada will step down from his CEO position at Square Enix's US branch (he remains head of the company); and
- European subsidiary president John Yamamoto will assume the role of CEO in North America, while retaining his roles as Euro president/CEO and executive officer of the Japanese parent company.
Before joining Square Enix, Yamamoto was president and CEO of Atlus USA.
