Concerning Nazis, I'm torn. On one hand, like Indiana Jones, I hate those guys. They're responsible for some of the most vile, repulsive crimes against humanity of the 20th century. On the other hand, how could a bunch of guys who give us cool conspiracy theories like this be all bad?

The Nazis, some believe, established a secret base in Antarctica to which they spirited Hitler at the war's end, fought off British special forces and an American military taskforce, partly by shooting down US planes using flying saucers. The Americans eventually destroyed the base with nuclear weapons in the 1950s. Since then, various governments have striven to conceal this....

Of course, it's all bunk, but the idea of a secret German stronghold in the Antarctic, filled with octogenarian Nazis just waiting to use their extraterrestrial technology to get payback against the Allies? It so much more alluring than the truth.
