The TechCrunch20 site has gone live and it reveals the judges slated to evaluate the start-ups involved in the conference. The list includes: Marc Andreessen (Co-founder, Ning), our own Chris Anderson (Editor-In-Chief, Wired Magazine), Roelof Botha (Partner, Sequoia Capital), Mark Cuban (Founder, HDNet), Om Malik (Founder, GigaOm), Robert Scoble (Scobleizer), and Dave Winer (Scripting News).
This is an impressive panel. Maybe, too impressive. If you can knock these guys out with your start-up presentation, you are a true badass. The brave and the foolish can sign up for a chance to present at The Palace Hotel in San Francisco on September 17 and 18. If you’re thinking of slithering in and gleaning some cheap market intelligence with no intention of shopping for a start-up, think again. Tickets for mere spectators are steep, starting at $2,000-a-pop. The twenty companies selected for the conference presentation will pay nothing. Nice.
