MSNBC has Jack Thompson back on their channel to respond to IGDA head Jason Della Rocca's claim that Thompson is a "massacre chaser." Thompson's reasoned, measured response is to call Della Rocca an "idiot" and a "jackass." Is it my birthday? I can't think of any better way for Thompson to continue to discredit himself than to engage in playground name-calling. Next up, Thompson calls Doug Lowenstein a "penis-head."
By the way, Jeers to MSNBC for not bothering to line up anybody to refute Thompson's ridiculous claims that Virginia Tech was due to "long-term effects" of violent game play. Because, of course, researchers have conducted all sorts of longitudinal studies that have proven these effects. Wait, what? They haven't? There's no evidence of a causal relationship at all? Thompson pulled that out of thin air? My goodness.
