San Francisco-based Viz Media has been named the master licensor for the anime series based on Microsoft's Xbox 360 game Blue Dragon, the company announced today.
It probably wasn't too difficult, seeing as how Viz also runs the Dragon Ball series outside of Japan and is part-owned by Shueisha, who produced the TV series in the first place.
The show, which debuted in Japan on the TV Tokyo channel earlier this month, is produced by Studio Pierrot, who also worked on hit series like Naruto and Bleach. The series will hit Western markets to coincide with the game's late-2007 release here.
