Raon's Vega was one of the odder entries in the UMPC horse race, and its second generation is upon us. The Raon Digital Everun once again takes a unique approach to design, with a bizarre keyboard that makes it look like some kind of fancy medical or military device.
The Everun, with a name like that, is making a battery life claim: 7 hours, in fact, which is about double many of its competitors. This is made possible, perhaps, by the selection of a slow and low-power Geode 600MHz CPU.
It'll come in hard-drive and flash-based options and has a 4.8" 800x480 screen, WiFi, Bluetooth and integrated HSDPA cellular networking. It weighs 1.1 lbs (500g).
