Antec's P190 ATX case has a 1200W dual-power supply, five fans, and costs $500. I would expect that it costs about as much in electricity just to keep it turned on.

Now, let it be said that Antec makes excellent cases: I've owned their low-profile Minuet model myself, and it was well-engineered and beautiful in piano black. The P190 "Advanced Super Mid Tower" is a similarly top-end product, and I'll go as far as to say that Antec's design sensibility is the perfectly unpretentious antidote to the Apples and Sonys of the world. But, by God, this is one splendid kick in the teeth to the idea of environmentally-sound compromise in the use of technology. It fully deserves its own fossil-fuel generator to slurp power into that kilowatt power plant, customized to burn only endangered Amazonian hardwoods.
