The nascent Art Threat Magazine has a new anti-copyright program encouraging people to plant tiny copyright flags in piles of dog poo, take pictures, and upload them to the Web. There's even a Google Poo Map which shows, as far as we can tell, that the action is more or less limited to Montreal for now. Art Threat describes the project thusly:
Er. Okay, so, the idea is that it's to be a statement against copyright, but it seems somewhat silly to us. We can't imagine too many passersby noticing little flags in poo and making any sort of political connection. But hey, if you want to play with dog poo, don't let us stop you. One request: While you're at it, after you snap your photo, could you pick it up?
