But AmeriQuest, chief sponsor of his #16 Ford, wants to terminate its contract with Roush because Biffle has only one year left on his current contract. Biffle won’t sign until he’s assured that sponsorship is lined up and all the bills will be paid. Meanwhile, other teams have come calling. Though he’s currently holding 16th
place in the Nextel Cup, the man has proven to be a scrappy racer. The longer he waits, the more he’s ultimately worth . . . unless, of course, he fails to take a top-five finish in the next six weeks.
