Bungie: <cite>Crackdown</cite> Update Today Will Resolve <cite>Halo 3</cite> Issue

The million or so people who bought Halo 3 Beta Edition Featuring Bonus Game "Crackdown" earlier this year have been furious today at Bungie for the screwup that is keeping them out of the beta excitement. But Bungie says a solution is forthcoming in the next few hours:

The Microsoft team has found a solution and it's undergoing final testing now. Assuming the test pass goes according to plan, the fix will come in the form of a Crackdown title update within the next three to six hours.

Fingers crossed that this does the trick.
