Sales in Vivendi's games division are up a ridiculous 117%, thanks to the World of Warcraft expansion, The Burning Crusade. This brings sales for the division in the first quarter up to $394 million. They're pretty happy about it.
Burning Crusade set a one-month record for PC sales when it sold about 3.5 million copies across North America, Europe, New Zealand, and Australia. According to Vivendi, that brings the worldwide players of WoW to about 8.5 million. In the future, all MMOs are World of Warcraft.
