Akihabara stores have begun to distribute flyers for Doki-Doki Majo Shinpan, the infamous girl-touching adventure game that SNK Playmore is releasing for Nintendo DS on July 5. The title loosely translates to "[thump-thump of a heartbeat] Witch Judgment" -- in the game, you play a boy who has to determine whether or not a succession of girls are a witch or a normal human being. And how do you do this? Why, by... touching random parts of their body! As they squirm in embarrassment!
No, I have no idea why that lets you figure out who is a witch and who isn't, but hey: you have to give credit to SNK Playmore for taking the idea that probably every single game developer had when they first heard abotu the DS' touch screen and actually turning it into a video game. Whatever paper-thin rationale they came up with for why players have to poke a helpless girl in various parts of her body with a stylus is merely incidental.
The game is rated C, which means that it contains risqué content, but nothing approaching outright pornography, or even nudity, for that matter.
