In case you didn't catch this tidbit over on Threat Level, Presidential hopeful New York Sen. Hillary Clinton is asking her supporters to help pick her campaign song. What a fun little exercise! And it distracts us from caring about, you know, real issues. The list is the usual candidate fare: The Staple Singers, KT Tunstall and not one, but two U2 songs. Also, "Ready to Run" by the Dixie Chicks (apparently "Not Ready to Make Nice" was a little too off-message). Clinton posted this quote about the contest on her MySpace blog:

"I hope people from across the country will go to my website and vote for the song they feel best represents our message of change and their hopes for a better America," Hillary said. "And I promise to leave the singing to the professionals."
