Square Enix said that its upcoming Nintendo DS action RPG, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates will ship on August 23 in Japan. No US release date was given. The price will be 4800 yen.
Of the game, producer Akitoshi Kawazu said, "The players [of the GameCube FFCC] have found some unsatisfactory points, so in this new title we have added some more interesting stories and it can be enjoyed as a real action RPG." He was implying that although there is a four-player multiplayer mode, the single player mode will likely be a more robust and complete experience this time around.
