Geek Squad Caught Again. This Time it's Piracy?

According to a listener of the podcast Security Now, a member of the Geek Squad is using unlicensed software, specifically the almost-magical disk recovery application SpinRite. Steve Gibson, the co-host of Security Now and author of SpinRite, reads out testimonials from happy users at the start of each show.

According to a listener of the podcast Security Now, a member of the Geek Squad is using unlicensed software, specifically the almost-magical disk recovery application SpinRite. A 12 year old listener finished his email by saying how great it is that the Geek Squad are using Spin Rite. Unfortunately, Geek Squad don't have a license for it. Oops. We have no reason to believe that it is company policy, but seriously, Best Buy, you might need to rethink your hiring policy.
