Stop the Al Gore and United Nations Climate of Fear Campaign!
Dear XXXX,
While Congress is out on break during the Memorial Day recess (May 28 - June 4), Members will be home in their districts holding town hall meetings and talking with constituents. We have an opportunity to take on one of the biggest fear-mongering campaigns in recent memory by waging a grassroots Campaign for Truth.
Global Warming Hysteria
In the wake of Al Gore's cross-country, jet-fuel burning campaign to scare the American people about the "grave danger" of man-made global warming, some on Capitol Hill are taking advantage of the climate of fear he and his buddies at the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change have created.
California Rep. Henry Waxman is proposing the “Safe Climate Act” which would enact an economically harmful “cap and trade” system. Under his plan, the federal government would place Draconian emissions restrictions on companies that emit carbon. There are also three other draft bills in the House that have similar economically harmful provisions.
Even the Congressional Budget Office reports that a Kyoto-style cap and trade system would hurt our economy, raise gas prices, cost Americans jobs and transfer wealth from the poor to the rich while not benefiting the environment one bit!

Al Gore and his Hollywood friends like Laurie David and Leonardo Di Caprio are trying to frighten the American public into giving in to the far-left, anti-business agenda of carbon emissions caps, and they have utter disregard for our economy. As our friend Marlo Lewis of the Competitive Enterprise Institute likes to say, “this is all economic pain for no environmental gain.” (((Yeah, those Competitive Enterprise Institute sock-puppets are some kinda "grass roots" truthy guys.)))
The global warming alarmists rely on politically charged reports from the United Nations IPCC to back up their claims of gloom and doom. It is time that the American people stand up to these one-world-government bureaucrats at the U.N. and demand that they stop misleading the public.

(((An election should have put an end to Al Gore, but he's gonna pull down a Nobel because the alarm can't possibly go away. Did the UN invent thermometers? What sane person couldn't be alarmed by this kind of blatantly demagogical obscurantism?)))
