One of the problems with MP3 player accessories that transmit music over FM to your car stereo is that cars, by their design, move. As you drive, the frequency you're using for your connection is liable to encounter interference from terrestrial stations as they come within range. When that happens, you need to find a new, clean frequency and set both transmitter and receiver to it.

Kensington's QuickSeek FM Transmitter for iPod simplifies this process. When you hear interference, click a button on the transmitter and it'll scan for and switch to the cleanest frequency. Tune your car stereo to that, and your music will sound clear again... until the next interfering station comes within range.

Hopefully it won't be too long until all car stereos come with auxiliary inputs and/or A2DP Bluetooth stereo connections, but until then, the $90 Kensington QuickSeek FM will ameliorate the iPod/car stereo connection experience to a certain extent when it goes on sale later this month.
