
In the wake of *"300," *based on his graphic novel, Frank Miller was in Los Angeles couple of weeks ago talking with studios and the meetings paid off: Miller will make his solo directorial debut adapting Will Eisner's graphic novel series *The Spirit. *
Robert Rodriguez shared directing credit with the outspoken storyteller on *Sin City, * but the deal with LionsGate marks the first time Miller goes it alone.
Eisner's Spirit series portrayed a big ity crimefighter who meetes his match in the megalomaniac sadist named Octopus. Miller told Variety, "Will was a dear friend, a mentor, and translating his vision to the screen will be a labor of love." Before Miller begins work on The Spirit, he'll be'll re-teaming with Rodriguez on a Sin City sequel.
