
In more trouble for YouTube, NBC Universal sided with Viacom in its suit against the video-sharing site. Although NBC Universal has not joined in the suit or filed one of its own, it submitted a friend of the court brief on Friday. (Friday proved to be an all around bad day for YouTube, with English Premeir League Soccer also slapping it with a lawsuit.) The brief essentially argues the same point that has now become a familiar refrain: YouTube is intentionally allowing copyrighted material to be uploaded in order to boost traffic:
