Sony's VRD-MC5 DVD Burner is made for its AVCHD camcorder range, offering one-touch cam-to-optical disk trasfer of high-definition recordings. But with S-Video and firewire inputs and a bagful of card slots (SD, xD, CF, Memory Stick) it looks like it'll be good for PC-free dubbing of almost any kind imaginable.
A 2.5" LCD screen and mini DVD-compatible tray round out the deal, which hits up Japan for $247 on Aug. 10.
