Like its name suggests, this wide-format machine runs the Windows XP Tablet Edition 2005 interface where you write directly on a touchscreen using a stylus. The handwriting recognition software converted most of our chicken scratch into digital form, although it fumbled on letters such as "f" and "t." And while it was nice to have the 7-inch, 800-by-480-pixel screen, the image quality was lacking. —Grace Aquino
