According to IGN, Nintendo may be pondering the end of Nintendo Power Magazine, or planning some kind of major restructuring of it. Mass layoffs are apparently in the works, and staff are being told to find other employment by September of this year.
If it is truly the end of Nintendo Power, it's really rather sad. Sure, the magazine is a bit goofy, with its endless sunshine and candy-colored view of the world, but it's one of those pillars of gaming that's just always been there. Who among us doesn't have a copy or two sitting in a drawer or closet?
No official word from Nintendo yet on the matter. You'll know when we know.
