The Slurpr has, if nothing else, a great name. Modern computer equipment is notable for slurping everything around it, be it power, attention, money, porn, and so on. This box, however, slurps Internet, aggregating all the WiFi it can get its hands on.
Currently, it can only grab open networks with its 6 wireless interfaces, combining them into a monster broadband connection for ultra-fast downloads. Anyone in a well-connected apartment block will know just how much pipe this thing could get them; they'll likely know how much trouble stealing it could end with, too.
The creator, Dutch hacker Mark Hoekstra, clearly understands this: he's working on an upgrade that will automagically crack WEP Wifi security to steal closed networks too. Damn the torpedoes, eh?
Pre-order the Slurpr for a thousand Euros.
