Standard & Poors and other analysts say the company's stock has sunk low enough that it's starting to smell like juicy carrion for private equity firms. Which means the Circuit City brand might or might not survive. We'll leave it to you to calculate where that falls on the tragedy scale.

Or maybe Dell should think about saving some money as it considers buying its way into retail exposure.
