Cornelius, currently touring in support of his first album in five years, put on an impressive show earlier tonight at New York's Webster Hall. I managed to shoot this snippet of frontman/mastermind Keigo Oyamada playing "Love Me Tender" on the theremin using an audience member's hand (is that Cthulu in the background?).
Sorry about the distortion, and yes, this went a bit out of tune towards the end (I think that's because the audience guy edged his hand too close to the theremin out of nervousness; Oyamada and his band's musicianship was beyond reproach tonight). It was quite a moment, and a great show overall.
(At least one videographer was busted by Webster Hall security afterwards forfilming audience members as they were leaving the venue. I have afeeling they were part of the official video crew, too...)
