No, it is simply the case that Apple makes good stuff and has carved such a tight spot for itself — in the branding/loyalty/press attention space — that some just don't see much point in criticizing it. So we get things which are just mean enough to generate page views, but not so harsh as to offer readers the deep, satisfactory sense of schadenfreude that comes from any good "10 reasons to hate..." smackdown.

It's like Scientology, or Saturn cars, except the product is actually worth buying. We all know Apple makes great, well-designed products. But we don't really need to be told that iNames, smugness, game-free environment and lifestyle PR all belong in the hate jar. Tell us something you really loathe about Cupertino, folks!
