Picture_3_2As any procrastinating grad student can tell you, scientists love to gab. In fact, we reported on their yak-yak-yak-ingness in WIRED 15.04. If your interest was piqued (meaning: CALLING ALL NERDS), tomorrow Ask A Scientist SF will be featuring Berkeley glaciologist Kurt Cuffey at the Axis Cafe, 7:00. He will be presenting some of his Antarctic research, which I've always found a fascinating subject, especially now that Mr. Gore has provoked my fears that everything will melt and we will all have to live on the moon. What do living conditions on Antarctica suggest about the possibility of living on other planets? Will he be attending the world's first ever concert there? Finally, why are the cutest scientists always the ones who trek off to the far ends of the globe, instead of staying here and dating me? So many questions. Must have answers.
