Tales continue to proliferate of pre-release iPhones in circulation. First up is a restaurant sommelier (and Apple fanboy) who says he saw a customer using an iPhone and was able to play with it for a couple of minutes:

I don't know what to call it. Calling it a phone is like defining Natalie Portman as a "Homo Sapien Female Humanoid" There is so much more to it than that.

He further claims to have been told that there are only 100 iPhones in circulation now, all personally authorized by Steve Jobs.

Also making the rounds is a photo of a guy using a device that looks like an iPhone in an airport lounge.
