
Mssr. Jobs has been none too welcoming of Flash on the iPhone, going so far as to promise a separate iPhone-friendly version of YouTube that dispenses with Adobe/Macromedia's video engine. And now we have a hint at what might replace Flash: Opera says it's working on adding native video support to its mobile Web browser.
Says Tatsuki Tomita, Opera's senior vice president for consumer products:
Tomita says Opera will use less processing power, memory and battery life than Flash while providing similar functionality.
