"Austin's first Pecha Kucha Night was a great success. Our presenters were fantastic. We saw what the world of design is about and where it's headed. Architecture and photography were presented alongside ideas for emergency housing and a fantasy themepark. We learned about obscure holidays, the connections between blue ice cube trays and Prada. We heard the sounds of a musician going through her daily paces – viola in hand. We were reminded that community is a place that can be articulated graphically and shared unexpectedly. It was an evening of fun shared by many. Gracious thanks to our presenters for braving the unknown.Our only disappointment was that we ran out of space before everyone was able to get in....
