Hoping to emulate Burger King's successful crossover into the world of gaming, Red Bull has teamed up with FreeStyle Games to develop some titles of its own.The companies had worked together before on B-Boy, which featured Red Bull sponsored dancer Crazy Legs.

If you're expecting a quickie project that just slaps the Red Bull logo on a so-so game, think again, says FreeStyle's commerical director Chris Lee:

These will be triple A complete original IP experiences. We’re not trying to produce mini-games. The bottom line is they will be innovative, original, next-gen games and they will sell and be successful based on that alone. We’re not trying to short-circuit the process by attaching a name or a brand or a license or personality.

Given that power-ups are a staple of gaming, fitting Red Bull into virtually any game should be a breeze. Anybody else remember the Run Like Hell/Bawls tie-in?
