Nintendo may have announced that it was breaking sales records Down Under, the PS3 is still the continent's best-selling next gen console, says Sony Australia's Michael Ephraim. It's all a matter of perspective:

Based on [data tracking service] GfK since launch, PS3 has been the number one next-gen console, outselling Wii and Xbox 360 every week, except for last week.

Looking at it that way, the PS3 is indeed Australia's best-selling next-gen console. If you only look at total units sold, the Wii is the champ, having moved 100,000 units since its release in December as compared to the 50,000 PS3s sold since its release in March. Of course, looked at another way...
