Square Enix Clarifies Xbox 360 Position, Not That It Needed To

A spokesperson for Square Enix, speaking to GamesIndustry.biz, has provided some clarification to Shinji Hashimoto's comments that Final Fantasy on Xbox 360 is "currently a completely blank page."

Hashimoto-san was talking about the current situation.

Well, yes. Hence Hashimoto's subtle use of the word "currently" (ima). The whole point of this story was that currently, Square Enix has no Final Fantasy games for Xbox 360 in development. The future, by definition, remains unknown.
