Micromart, a console repair service in the UK, will no longer service 360s that have fallen victim to the dreaded red ring of death because there are apparently just too darn many of them. From Micromart's site:

Micromart has now withdrawn from offering a Repair Service for the dreaded 3 Red Lights fault. This problem is endemic on the XBox 360 console and the volume has made this repair non-viable. Other repairs to the XBox 360 are still being supported.

If Microsoft's claim that only 3% of 360s fail is true, they're all apparently being sent to Micromart for repairs. It is worth noting that Micromart is not an officially authorized Microsoft repair service.

This is not a problem that's going to go away, Microsoft. You can dodge the issue as much as you like, but 360s seem to keep failing and people keep talking about it.
