Archos' fifth-gen 605 WiFi Portable Video multimedia slab has an 800x480 4.3" display, up to 160GB of hard drive space (Working out to 300 hours of MPEG-4 movies, according to Archos; it also plays DRM-crippled WMV, MPEG-2, VOB — i.e. untranscoded DVD files — and H.264), network streaming and hookups to various DVR accessories. It also has a PDF reader in, a "content portal" application, which allows for direct downloads of music and movies, and a web browser.
The 605 also has an SD card slot, 4GB of Flash, line-in ports for audio and video recording, about 5 hours of battery life and automatic firmware updates.
