Intel's UMPC "surge" continues with another UMPC concept design, this time featuring a "spinner" keyboard in place of a sliding QWERTY or clamshell clapper.
The Donley, with its 5" screen, virulent red paneling and silver-trimmed control ring, looks like something a pimp might use to organize his payroll; UMPC Portal's Chippy thinks it might see the breath of life. Aving has the images.
Also, it runs Linux. If, against the odds (i.e. "in the face of almost complete consumer disinterest") UMPCs and like devices take off, it is in this area, thanks to the lack of a version of Windows appropriate for the platform, that Linux has a good chance of finally biting. Mobile Ubuntu is on its way, folks.
