Europe is finally going to be able to access Xbox Live's Video Marketplace without creating dummy U.S. accounts. Until now, access to the Video Marketplace has been limited to U.S. Live accounts, but according to CVG, the service will finally be launched in Europe by the end of the year, hitting select countries on a staggered basis.

Xbox Live general manager JJ Richards explained how the rollout will work:

It's going to be a country at a time. We're going to have to get it right for each country; the rights, as well as the operation and localisation for each country. That will be our implementation rollout. So rather than hold everybody up we'd rather turn on France when we get enough French content and French rights, we'll turn on the UK when we get UK, we'll turn on Italy when we get Italy.

Apparently, the releases will probably bundle several countries together, rather than going one by one. Now you Euros can watch Poison Ivy 2 like the rest of us! Um...lucky you.
