In Quotes: Jack Tretton, Michael Pachter on Peter Moore

Sony Computer Entertainment America president Jack Tretton has released the following statement to members of the media, after the announcement that Peter Moore would leave Microsoft to become president of EA Sports:

We wish Peter the best of luck in his new role at Electronic Arts and look forward to working with him. We have an outstanding relationship with EA and their sports products have been incredibly successful on all our platforms. I am sure this will continue with Peter now at the helm.

Citing Moore's "impressive credentials," industry analyst Michael Pachter called the move a "significant positive" for Electronic Arts. "We are especially impressed that EA's new CEO, John Riccitiello, has attracted executives like [former president of Activision] Kathy Vrabeck and Mr. Moore to the EA fold," Pachter said.
