No sooner than he resolved his bet over the PSP with Microsoft's J Allard did Newsweek's N'Gai Croal find himselg again locked into a wager with an Xbox employee over Sony's line of game machines.
This time, Xbox director of technical strategy cum outspoken blogger Andre "Ozymandias" Vrignaud bet Croal a steak dinner that Sony would, by Black Friday of this year, introduce a $399 model of PlayStation 3 with even more feature cuts.
This time, says Vrignaud, the integrated Wi-Fi, memory card slots, and every bit of backwards compatibility could be on the chopping block in an effort to slash costs.
Consider the source, I say. Also consider that Croal doesn't believe him. Vrignaud might just find himself etching "N'Gai Had It Right" into a PS3. Too bad there were no dreadlocks involved in this particular wager.
